Shrimp and Smoked Gouda Grits
Prepare grits as instructed on the package. Add butter and about a cup of shredded smoked Gouda, stir to until melted and blended.
½ lb large peeled shrimp cut in 1/3rds
¼ cup Wassis Vintage Sunshine Rub
4 large cloves of garlic chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp oil
In a hot skillet/wok melt butter and add oil, when hot add shrimp, Vintage Sunshine Rub and garlic, sauté until shrimp almost done and add lemon juice. Remove when shrimp are opaque all the way through.
Aioli Sauce (optional, good on grilled shrimp skewers too!!)
1 cup Mayonnaise
Lemon juice to taste
¼ cup Wassis Vintage Sunshine rub
¼ cup Runamok Cinnamon Vanilla Maple syrup
Zest of ½ orange
Combine all aioli ingredient and refrigerate for at least a ½ hour to allow all the flavors to develop.
